I was talking to a leader in a private equity firm at a business conference.
“David, the last time I was here it was like drinking from a firehose. I’ve barely had time to reflect on last time, much less put it into practice.”
That struck me. Because he’s not alone. I hear versions of this all the time from leaders, pastors, business owners, and high achievers.
We live in a world overflowing with information—podcasts, books, courses, blog posts, YouTube videos. Content is everywhere. But here’s the hard truth:
- Information doesn’t equal transformation.
- More content won’t fix what clarity and direction are missing.
- Breakthroughs rarely come from volume—they come from alignment.
And yet, I don’t want to dismiss information entirely. It does matter. But it matters most when it’s curated, timely, and paired with your real needs.
