I love it when a problem is actually good news in disguise.

For the past year and a half, our Leadership Accelerator program has been growing. More leaders joining. Deeper partnerships forming. Greater impact unfolding in churches and communities across the Greek Orthodox Church's Metropolis of Chicago.

The program has expanded beyond what one person managing it alongside other responsibilities could sustain. That’s the kind of problem I want to have.

So effective March 1, Carissa Di Scipio is stepping into the newly created role of Program Manager for the Leadership Accelerator. For those of you who’ve interacted with Carissa over the past eighteen months, this won’t surprise you. She’s been the operational backbone of this program from the beginning, managing logistics, participant communication, and partner coordination while simultaneously serving as our Executive Assistant. The program's growth made it clear: this program needs a dedicated leader. Carissa is that person.

This is one of those moments where I get to practice what I preach. I spend my days coaching leaders on building systems that support growth, on recognizing when something healthy demands new structure, on having the courage to invest before you feel “ready.” Creating this role is exactly that kind of investment.
